Sherlock Holmes-A Game of Shadows

Here are some quick reflections on the movie, Sherlock Holmes- A Game of Shadows. It seemed a little more focused than the first installment. I remember the first movie feeling frantic for long periods with little character development. The current installment slowed things down a bit, but still managed to get a little crazy at times.
We are introduced to Professor Moriarty, who we quickly see is every bit a match for Holmes. He has a well thought out plot which our protagonist has been puzzling over in a drunken and drug induced stupor. Moriarty has insinuated himself into the highest levels of the British Government and has set into motion a plot to plunge Europe into an all consuming war which will ultimately serve his own agenda.
Our Victorian buddies, Holmes and Watson, aided by a Gypsy girl who is searching for a lost brother traipse through France, Germany and Switzerland in dogged pursuit of the Evil Genius Moriarty in what turns out to be  frenetic scene in a mountain Chateau. Good fun!
